Charitable Giving

Being a good neighbor means benefiting the communities where we operate.

As a responsible corporate citizen, we seek opportunities to contribute to the success of our plant communities both financially and through the active volunteer participation of our employees.

We invest in our communities directly through corporate grants, which are administered following our Contributions Policy.

We encourage employees to help direct company giving through their own involvement, either financially through the Matching Gifts program, or personally through our Volunteer Grant program.

To make the best use of our resources, we focus our giving and our community involvement around three areas:

  • Pre-College Education: focusing on efforts to sustain improvements in learning readiness, programs that promote excellence in math and science education, resources to enrich the educational experience for students and support of educators.
  • Environmental Stewardship: focusing on projects or organizations that promote conservation, environmental education or sustainable development.
  • Community Sustainability: focusing on activities and organizations that promote economic prosperity, enhance the quality of life or further solutions to community problems.
