Lyondell’s Channelview complex has been part of the North Channel community since 1957, when it began operations as Texas Butadiene and Chemical. Today, the complex employs 1,800 employees and contractors who live and work in the area.

What We Do
At the Channelview complex, two olefin units at the north side facility manufacture ethylene, propylene, butadiene and benzene. The south side facility uses many of these products to produce propylene oxide, styrene monomer and other derivatives and gasoline-blending products.
