The Beaumont PD Glycol Plant produces glycols for Lyondell Chemical Company’s Equistar business. PD Glycol is a joint venture between Equistar and DuPont. The plant produces monotheylene glycol, diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol, products that contribute to the sustainability of our society. The chemicals produced at the Beaumont facility are used to manufacture various consumer products including polyester fibers and cord, polyester film, plastic bottles, synthetic rubber, resins, anti-icing compounds, antifreeze, hydraulic fluid, printing ink, fuel additives and solvents.
