Community Outreach. Plant management participates in an area community advisory panel in which local industrial leaders meet regularly with community leaders to discuss issues of concern.
Community Involvement. As part of the company’s 7th annual Global Care Day held May 6th, 2006, employee volunteers and family members spent the day at one of the Village's parks working alongside Village employees and other volunteers installing some new playground equipment and adding new mulch to improve the safety of the playground area. The plant is a sponsor of the local PerchFest, a festival intended to spur tourism and economic growth in the region, and also a sponsor of the Village’s annual Mardi Gras celebration.
Education. Each year, the site sponsors a local teacher to the annual Technology In Education Conference where teachers learn of new and exciting ways to teach science and chemistry.
Philanthropy. The plant contributes to the local United Way campaign. The company also provides grants to local emergency service organizations.
