MSDS Help

Lyondell's Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) documents are listed on our site with other product-specific technical information. The MSDS files are retrieved in real time and are the most recent updates available.

To find a Lyondell MSDS:

Our new site offers several ways to locate a MSDS.

  1. Using either the products by category or products by market journey within the products section, navigate to a specific product page. Select the Technical Information link that appears on the left navigation menu.
  2. A search box is listed at the top right corner of every page on our site. To search for a MSDS, select the MSDS button under the search box. Type the product name, CAS number or product acronym in the search box. Click the Go button. When the search results are displayed, select the first Technical Information link. You will be taken to a page that links to the product MSDS.
  3. Type the product name, CAS number or product acronym and "MSDS" in the search box at the top right corner. (Example: propylene gylcol MSDS) Click the Go button. When the search results are displayed, select the first Technical Information link. You will be taken to a page that links to the product MSDS.

  3. It might take a few seconds for the MSDS to be generated and displayed in PDF format (see figure below). If you do not see the MSDS, you will need to install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader or try the solution described in the Blank PDF issue section below.

If after waiting a few seconds, you see a blank page and no MSDS appears, you will need to change a setting in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Acrobat Reader is the software used to display PDF documents.

Please follow these steps to correct this issue:

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader [Start > Programs > Adobe > Adobe Reader]

  2. Click the Edit drop down menu then select Preferences as shown below
