Blow molding is the process of making hollow plastic containers by inserting melted plastic into a hollow container design. Air is then blown into the design to inflate the plastic into the shape of the hollow design.
Blow molding applications can be made with the following Equistar products: high density polyethylene (HDPE); low density polyethylene (LDPE); linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and polypropylene.
Benefits and Applications
Equistar's polyethylene and polypropylene polymers are used to make food containers, milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles, ice chests and other plastic bottles and containers.
