The information shown below applies to most of our employees in the United States. Benefits information for employees in Europe, Asia and South America can be found within the careers section of all non-U.S. facility web sites.

Medical

  • Most employees have a choice between two medical options: the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), or the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
  • With the PPO plan, employees may choose to go to any physician or hospital.Selecting providers associated with the PPO network provides a higher level of reimbursement with no filing of claim forms.
  • The HDHP offers a lower cost alternative. If you use your plan for preventative health care only, or if you have coverage through another plan such as your spouse's, the HDHP premiums are significantly lower than the PPO plan, but deductibles and out-of-pocket limits are higher.
  • Comprehensive prescription drug benefits are also available within the program.
  • Other options may be available at some locations.

Dental

  • Employees have the option to elect coverage for themselves and their family.
  • While you can select any dental provider, you save by using dentists and orthodontists in the provider network.

Vision

  • All employees can receive discounts on eye exams, lenses and frames through network providers.

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • These allow employees to set aside money from their paycheck before taxes to pay eligible medical or dependent care expenses.
  • Eligible health care account expenses include expenses that are not paid under any other employer-sponsored health care plan, including health insurance deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, acupuncture, laser eye surgery, infertility treatment and over-the-counter medications.
  • Eligible dependent care assistance expenses include expenses you incur to pay for the care of a qualified dependent while you (and your spouse, if married) work.
  • Certain restrictions apply. In return for the tax advantage, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has strict rules about these accounts.

Disability Benefits

  • If you are ill or injured and cannot perform the essential duties of your job, you may be eligible for short- or long-term disability benefits.
  • Coverage is automatic after 90 days of full-time employment and fully paid by the company.
  • Additional long-term disability insurance is available, but you pay the full cost of this coverage.

Life & Accident Insurance

  • Beginning with your first day of active work, the company provides basic life insurance coverage at no cost to you.
  • You can purchase additional life insurance for you and your family over the company-provided amount.
  • The company provides a benefit if you die or suffer certain severe injuries as a result of a job-related accident or while traveling on company business.
  • Additional accident coverage can be purchased to provide broader security for your family.
